Sir Robert Hall released the mixtape after his tour of the United States and during which he also suffered a panic attack and was rushed to the hospital. He later revealed that he had such attacks as a child too. Doctors said due to stressful travel and no rest he received the attack and he then took some time off work.

The mixtape Bobby Tarantino was ranked at number 16 in the Billboard 200 with 19,000 equivalent units, which made it the 3rd biggest debut in the week. The album sold about 8000 copies in only the very first week and later it jumped higher on Billboard at 12.
