Billions is an American drama series that was released in 2017 and there have been five successful episodes of the series so far.
The series is based on a realistic plot and the events shown in the drama are quite similar to the ones of real life. The story is fictional but the events that follow in the series are not made up and fictitious, in fact, they are taken from daily life realities of courts and legal proceedings.

The story revolves around Bobby Axelrod, acted by Damian Lewis, who is a fund manager, or hedge fund manager, at an investment bank. The manager frequently indulges in shady activities while managing and keeping account of the funds, and accumulates great wealth and money for himself as the manager of the funds.

Axelrod often uses tactics that are in violation of the laws of the country and so he oversteps the legal restrictions to make himself a lot of money. He gets spotted and suspected of his shady business, and then a United States Attorney Chuck Rhoades, played by Paul Giamatti, attempts to hold him responsible and open a case against him in order to prosecute him.
